Search For Life
We have all been created with a longing for meaningful relationships and a desire to significantly impact our world.  If we know where we come from and how to handle these legitimate longings, we can live lives of dignity, creativity and mastery.  This crucial course begins to address common experiences such as: blame and guilt, feeling hopeless, addictive patterns, the desire to be liked, and the pressure to perform.  Search for Life focuses on the truths that will lead to freedom and change in these areas.

Door of Hope
We feel privileged and excited to possess within our church, the teaching program and the gifted facilitators who make up the Door of Hope experience.  This season of unique support and care enables female survivors of sexual abuse to discover their true identity & value.  Experienced facilitators provide a confidential and encouraging environment which empowers the participants to bring positive change to their lives.  Liz Rankin oversees our Door of Hope programs.

Making Marriage Better
“Making marriage better opened my eyes to my relationship.  I felt I was able to learn how to really connect to my partner and voice both praise and concerns in ways that would be received.”-  participant

Who would turn down the opportunity for a better marriage?  Whether people are preparing for marriage, looking to refresh their relationship, or working through difficulties, Making Marriage Better has been an enriching experience for a wide range of participants.  Whilst learning about marriage dynamics such as family background, communication, conflict management and contentment, couples have time together and in the group to explore ways to make their marriage more of a blessing.

Facilitator Training
“I have led small groups for many years and have experienced many leadership training sessions.  Careforce Facilitator Training honed my skills like no other training”. – participant

Facilitating a Lifekeys group is very different to running a small group; this course gives you foundational teaching and opportunities to practice these unique skills.  What you learn in ‘Facilitator Training’ will undoubtedly equip you in other areas of leadership by giving you further understanding of the environments which engender healing, growth and change in our lives.

Sharon Dutton Kids with Courage
If you could be a fly on the wall at a ‘Kids with Courage’ morning, I think you’d be elated to see the team at work making this a fun and meaningful time for everyone.  It makes me want to be a kid again!  With teaching, puppetry, drama, hands on activities snacks and small group discussion, the children have a safe place to explore their emotions, set goals, connect with peers and make positive changes.  We want kids to have the tools to cope with difficult times and live life with resilience and a healthy self- confidence.

Youth Search for Life
It is a privilege to journey with a young person through the developmental challenge of becoming confident in who they are.    ‘Youth Search for Life’ facilitates self awareness in a safe environment.  Group discussion helps to normalize the common human struggles in securing a healthy identity and explore keys to managing negative thinking and behaviour.

Search for Intimacy
Sex is a part of life.  People need more than rules about sex; they need a rich picture of their identity and what this means for the best expression of sex.  We want sexuality to be an avenue for blessing and not pain.  This course offers a holistic understanding of how to care for the hearts of ourselves and others in this sex-saturated world.  Participants are given information, an opportunity to have questions answered and avenues for healing.  Search for Intimacy is aimed at young singles, parents raising them, and those “single-again".

Andrew Hogarth Man to Man
Participants have appreciated the opportunity to take stock of their lives in the company of others who are willing to share the journey.  This program highlights the importance of gaining personal insight in order to move beyond mediocre ways of doing life.  We need men who can face the challenges of family dynamics, handling their emotions, dealing with conflict, finding real intimacy and examining addictive behaviour. The Journey church values men being equipped with the skills, information and relationships that empower them to live their life to its full potential.

Valiant Man
We live in a highly sexualized world where the pressure to develop distortions in sexuality is high.  It can bring peril to relationships and a man’s sense of integrity.  Allan Meyer has written this program with a clear vision for manhood and a desire for men to be equipped to handle the pressure of their sexuality, knowing they are not alone in this challenge.  This well researched program aims to release men into a life of valor and service to God and their community.
